Lost, missing &
overdue books
We all misplace things like pencils, worksheets and books. Overdue notices are regularly sent home by the classroom teacher to remind students, parents and guardians to help find and return books.
Since January of 2020, 300+ books have been lost . If your student has an overdue or lost book, don't panic. Have a look around the usual places: under fridges, toy boxes, and where ever else books hide. You might find some missing socks. When you have exhausted all places to search, let the classroom teacher know. Lost books can be replaced with good quality books from home. Ask your student to find a book that they think their friends would like to read and donate it to the library. Their name will be placed on the inside cover of the book showing it as a donation. If you have any questions about lost books, please contact Mr. Edison by calling the school office, or your student's classroom teacher. Thank you for helping your school library.

Computer Science Education Week is from December 3 - 9, 2018 and with it comes The Hour of Code.
What is the Hour of Code?
The Hour of Code started as a one-hour introduction to computer science, designed to demystify "code", to show that anybody can learn the basics, and to broaden participation in the field of computer science. It has since become a worldwide effort to celebrate computer science, starting with 1-hour coding activities but expanding to all sorts of community efforts.
