Mrs. Halliday's Page

Week of Feb 7-11

  • Read 20 minutes each day. Have your child read aloud to you as well. Taking turns reading a page each will allow them to better model voice and fluency.

  • In math, we are beginning our unit on multiplication. Children should be practicing each night so that they can quickly recall their multiplication facts (I recommend going to 12 x). Currently, we are working on 3s and 4s. I have posted many helpful math links in our Google Classroom.

  • Science: We are finishing off our unit on Sound

  • Socials: This month we are working on research projects for Black History Month.

  • Valentine's Day class lists will be sent home this week. Please do not send in any food items due to allergies. I have asked children to bring in cereal or shoe-sized boxes to create their Valentine holders. Please have these sent in by Friday.

Please ensure that your child is dressed warmly for outside play each day.

**Please ensure that your child's agenda is returned to school each day. This is used as our primary means of communication. Any unexpected changes in dismissal routine should be communicated to the office (368-2123) as I rarely get time to check my email during the school day. Thank you!
